Abstract. The article is devoted to the post-reform changes in the foreign business legal regulations during the period of capitalist modernization of the Russian state in the second half of the XIX century which are thought to be based on the analysis of the norms of the royal legislation, the research of its practical application, the review of the activities of the imperial government, academic and journalistic sources.
