Abstract. The article discusses the main specific features of tort liability in sports and
indicates the necessity of the application of measures of civil-legal influence in the sport
considering the nature and characteristics of legal relationship of sports. The author defines
the idea of tort liability in sports and offers to use the term in the field of civil law. The paper
determines the conditions of the occurrence of obligations arising as the result of the injury.
