Abstract. The article discusses the concept of “prevention of bankruptcy” and “restoring solvency” from the point of view of the provisions of the Federal Law of 26.10.2002 № 127-FZ “On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)”, taking into consideration scientific and legal approaches. The author points out the differences between the aforemention terms, gives their brief description, which includes the purposes of insurance companies.
