Abstract. The article focuses on the nature and distinctive features of negotiations as an alternative way of resolving pre-contractual disputes and the disputes arising under signed contracts. The author studies the availability and scope of the legal framework on the regulation of negotiations as an alternative way of resolving civil legal disputes. The author makes conclusion that the legal framework should be expanded.
