Introduction: the Russian Federation is actively developing the field of digital financial assets and, in general, the digital economy. Based on this, the economic processes of the country are undergoing changes, the legislative framework of the state is being revised. The main purpose of the work is to define norms and mechanisms to ensure the rights of participants in investment processes within the digital economy. Methods: the methodological framework for the study is based on the methods of comparative law and system analysis. Results: the analysis of the current legislation of the Russian Federation made it possible to reveal the legal nature of digital financial assets and mechanisms for protecting the rights of participants who have the opportunity to purchase and use digital financial assets. Conclusions: legislative initiatives are aimed at creating digital assets, which is a key breakthrough in the field of the digital economy of the Russian Federation for the creation and implementation of a unique system of contractual relations. These documents will serve as the basis for streamlining interaction on investment platforms: to form an investment agreement, and to work with an investment sales manager – a service agreement.
