Abstract. The article is devoted to the concept of labor protection, as well as to the issues of the proper comprehension of its nature and purpose. Observing the chronological
sequence, the author of the article analyzes the legislative acts regulating the labor protection, and the notion of this process which is described in these acts. The article traces the enrichment and improvement of this concept through the time, demonstrates the changes in its form and content.
