Abstract. The present article reveals the content of the public personnel policy in the bodies and institutions of the Russian prosecutor’s office. Public service includes three types of services: state and civil, military, and law enforcement. The uniqueness of prosecution office consists in the fact that it has features of all types of services. Due to the importance of public service in the prosecutor’s office, the special requirements are implied by the law to people appointed to the positions of prosecutors and assistant prosecutors. The special requirements are specified for candidates to the post of the head of the prosecution office.
