Abstract. The article examines the legal regulation of citizens’ right to associations in the Russian Federation. The author comes to a conclusion that the concept «associations of citizens» may differ in denotation and content in different legislative acts of one and the same legal branch. There is made an attempt to reveal the content of the given concept in scientific and legal aspects. The author represents both broad and narrow interpretations of the concept «associations of citizens».
