Abstract. The article attempts to analyze the issue of the relationship between domestic and International law from the standpoint of the legal system of the Slovak Republic, in particular, the problems of the relation between International treaties and the Slovak law. The author conducts a detailed study of the constitutional provisions relating to the International law. The article contains the consideration of the views of various Slovak scientists on the problem of the relationships between the International law and the legal system of Slovakia. After the analysis the author makes a conclusion about the adherence of the legal system of Slovakia to the dualistic conception of the relation between the International and the domestic law.
