Abstract. An attempt to reveal the essence of insurance of lawyer’s professional property responsibility and modern interpretation of this emerging type of insurance is made. The author defines the purposes of compulsory insurance of lawyer’s professional property responsibility, substantiates its attribution to the property type of insurance.
