Abstract. The author considers the legislation as a multi-faceted unit which includes parallelisms, noncompliances, contradictions. The author of the article focuses on the topical issue dealing with the existence of law gaps, the solution to which demands the reference to the theoretical tradition of analyzing of the above mentioned phenomenon.
