Abstarct. The article focuses on revealing certain problems relating to the formation of representations of subject, system and possibilities of insurance law as an element of law macrosystem. Furthermore, changes in the economy of Russia, associated with the problematic of insurance law, are marked out,
which allow after all to define major prerequisites of insurance law.
