Abstract. Within the conducted research the author gives characteristic of cooperation of member states of the Organization of the Black Sea economic cooperation in protection against disasters of various manifestation. Initially the article justifies the cooperation of the states in the framework of this organization, and also the reason of their interest in the problems of protection of the Black Sea region against disasters. The features of legal fixing of such interaction, and also concrete examples of its realization are presented. The author describes the specifics of the organizational structures created within the Contract, such as the working group of the Organization of the Black Sea economic cooperation on emergency situations, the Working group of experts in seismic risk, the Network of liaison officers. On the example of the concrete events held periodically, the author states rather high interest of the State Participants in the carried-out form and the sphere of cooperation. And the meetings held also together with other international organizations and the countries testify to need of developing subregional interaction.
