Abstarct. The article is devoted to the concept and the essence of the universally recognized principle of non bis in idem, the mechanism of its realization in the Russian criminal procedure. The author analyzes various approaches to understanding of this principle in the legal literature. The conclusion about the connection of this principle with the exclusiveness of judicial decisions is substantiated.
