Abstract. The paper gives the interpretation of the articles in the Vienna Convention on
Contracts for the International Sale of Goods providing the right for the parties of the contract
to exclude the application of the Convention to the parties relations arising out of the agreement.
The legal position contributing to most effective protection of the rights and legitimate interests
of the parties signing international sale contracts is formulated.
