Abstract. In the parameters of academic innovation the author proposes the concept of
lawfulness of international organizations’ treaty law-making process and designates its three
main components: the contractual capacity, the validity of a treaty (the existence of the proper
parties of the contract operating under its jurisdiction; the legality of the object and the subject
of the contract); the legitimacy of the contract.
