Abstract. In this article the author makes the reconstruction of norms of the common law regulating questions connected with the juridical organization and legal proceedings in usual Don Cossack people’s courts in the second half of the XIXth century. The identification and the analysis of common features, characteristic for the implementation the juridical organization and legal proceedings in Don Cossack’ courts сonfirm the author’s conclusion about the traditional order of dispute settlement in activities of usual people’s courts within the specified historical period.
