Abstract. Based on the reports of the central judicial bodies, the article studies the state of organized crime groups from 1963 to the present day and the modern trends in organized crime in the Sosialistic Republic of Vietnam under the influence of globalization. The article includes the latest data on the activity of organized crime groups that has both national and transnational character. The article concludes that Vietnam’s overall crime situation continues to deteriorate. The study also provides perspective on the status and development of organized crime in the territory of Vietnam and general recommendations on confronting it.]
