Abstract. The article notes that despite of the frequent use of the term “risk” in the civil legislation, the study of this category in criminal procedure law is not sufficient. The authors carry out the systematic analysis of risks, identify their features, types, connection with criminal procedure conflicts and ways of minimizing risks.
